Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has held a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi to discuss the latest developments in the ongoing negotiation process.
"During the call, we discussed the latest situation of the ongoing negotiation process," Fidan said.
"Türkiye will continue its efforts to end conflicts in our region and establish lasting peace," he added.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also warned on Saturday of any "adventurous action" by the US in separate phone calls with Pakistan's army commander, according to the Iranian minister's account on Telegram.
Araghchi stressed his country's readiness to respond decisively to any "aggression."
Tehran cautions regional neighbors
Araghchi also said in a phone call with his Saudi counterpart that any "aggression" by the US and Israel or participation of regional countries in these actions will be met with a "decisive and proportionate response," according to Araghchi's Telegram account.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry statement, Araghchi discussed the danger of escalating tensions and insecurity in the region during his calls.
He reiterated Iran's readiness to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity while warning against external military action.
