Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Kazakh counterpart, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, discussed bilateral ties and regional issues in a phone call on Thursday, Türkiye’s Communications Directorate said.
Erdogan congratulated Tokayev on the Kurultai elections held on August 23.

Kazakhstan's ruling party comfortably won Sunday's elections to a new single-chamber parliament, exit polls suggested, consolidating President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's hold on power.
Erdogan said the high voter turnout reflected public support for the ongoing reforms.
The Turkish President also noted that Ankara would continue its efforts to further develop bilateral relations with Kazakhstan in the coming period.
