An Israeli air strike has killed nine Palestinians and wounded fifteen others at a police station in central Gaza City.
Medics and police said on Wednesday that several officers, some of them high-ranking, were among those killed at the headquarters of the municipal police.
Earlier, in Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, a separate Israeli air strike killed one Palestinian, medics said, taking the death toll to at least 10.
Israel has repeatedly targeted police personnel and infrastructure in Gaza, in what Palestinian authorities say is aimed at weakening public order institutions.
In the months following the October 2025 ceasefire, the Israeli attacks have continued with a series of strikes hitting police vehicles, checkpoints and patrol units.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose ruling coalition is trailing in opinion polls ahead of an October election, has rejected US President Donald Trump’s roadmap for Gaza peace.
The Palestinian resistance group Hamas has demanded that Israel adhere to the ceasefire and withdraw its forces from Gaza.
On Tuesday, an Israeli air strike killed at least seven Palestinians, including a child, at a beachfront cafe, medics said.
Meanwhile, a Hamas official said the group had told ceasefire mediators that if there were no halt to Israel's targeted attacks, "it would influence their stance on the agreement".
The official said the latest killings had dealt a blow to diplomatic efforts despite the assurances he and Trump's Board of Peace have given Hamas leaders when they met in Egypt on Sunday that they would compel Israel to end "assassinations and targeted attacks".
Israel has waged a genocide in Gaza since October 2023, killing more than 73,000 Palestinians and wounding over 174,000, most of them women and children.
Mediators continue efforts to advance implementation of a ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10, 2025.
Israeli violations of the agreement have led to the deaths of 1,266 Palestinians and the wounding of 4,200.
