Despite receiving a red card in the second half, the USA secured its place in the Round of 16 with goals from Balogun and Tillman to face Belgium.

World Cup co-hosts USA have defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 despite receiving a red card in the second leg, reaching the Round of 16.

Folarin Balogun scored for the Stars and Stripes in the first half before receiving a red card in the 64th minute of the second half.

The Bosnians took advantage of the red card and pushed forward, creating more chances, but they wasted them all.

Malik Tillman scored USA's second goal in the 82nd minute from a free kick just outside the box to secure the win for the Americans.

USA will face Belgium in the Round of 16 in Seattle as both teams will look for a place in the quarter-finals.
