A Palestinian farmer was injured on Thursday after being severely beaten by illegal Israeli settlers in the village of Urif, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
The man, identified as Abdel Fattah Al-Safadi, sustained head and facial injuries while working on his land when he was assaulted by settlers, the official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported.
The incident came as Israeli forces carried out raids in several areas across the occupied West Bank, including the village of Bazariya, northwest of Nablus.
Illegal Israeli settlers also set up a tent outpost on land belonging to the village of Kisan, east of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank, raising Israeli flags near Palestinian homes, Wafa said.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces raided a refugee camp north of Hebron. The troops fired live ammunition and tear gas towards homes, though no injuries were reported, according to the agency.
Israeli forces also entered Bazariya with several military vehicles and patrolled its streets, with no arrests or injuries reported, eyewitnesses told Anadolu.
The developments come amid a sharp escalation in attacks by illegal Israeli settlers and Israeli forces across the occupied West Bank since October 2023, which have killed more than 1,150 Palestinians and wounded thousands, according to official Palestinian data.
In a landmark opinion in July 2024, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory illegal and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
