An Israeli drone strike near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights has wounded one person in southern Syria, according to Syrian state television.
The strike targeted a vehicle in the village of Beit Jinn, southwest of Damascus, the broadcaster reported on Saturday.
The Israeli occupation forces told AFP it was “checking” the reports.
Since the fall of the Bashar al Assad regime in late 2024, Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes across Syria and expanded its occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights by seizing the UN-monitored buffer zone, in violation of the 1974 disengagement agreement.

Israel has also carried out repeated incursions deeper into Syrian territory and said it would maintain troops in a so-called “security zone” in southern Syria.
The latest reported strike comes amid continued Israeli attacks and incursions in southern Syria following the fall of Bashar al Assad's regime.
No further details were immediately available on the wounded person or the circumstances of the strike.
