Germany begins coalition talks
In Germany, the long process of negotiating a new coalition government has begun. Angela Merkel’s CDU party had a bad result but its new leader Armin Laschet insists it still has a chance of forming a coalition. Negotiations could take months, and until there is a deal, Angela Merkel will remain Germany’s chancellor. Simon McGregor-Wood has more.
