US, Saudi Arabia confirm seven-day humanitarian ceasefire
Sudan's army and its paramilitary rival force have agreed to a new temporary ceasefire, brokered by the US and Saudi Arabia in Jeddah. The truce is scheduled to start on Monday evening, and will be monitored by a mechanism to prevent its collapse. The deal raises hopes for humanitarian relief in the country. Usman Aliyu Uba reports.
