Türkiye and UAE sign 13 agreements worth $50.7B
Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates have opened a new chapter in their 50-year relationship with the signing of a landmark economic and diplomatic agreement. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan inked the deal on Wednesday at a ceremony in Abu Dhabi. The 50.7 billion dollar investment and trade agreement covers a wide range of sectors from tech to construction to finance. President Erdogan hailed the deal as a strategic partnership, adding that plans are in the works to formally present the deal at a trade and investment set for Istanbul later this year.
