S&P 500 index had best performance through July in 26 years
Wall Street investors were bracing themselves for a bumpy ride at the beginning of the year. Everyone was worried that aggressive interest rate hikes in 2022 would drag the US economy into a recession - taking the stock market down with it. But so far, that hasn't happened. In July, the S&P 500 index had its best performance in 26 years. As the economic outlook continues to improve, investors are now more optimistic that the rally may sustain itself, at least for the rest of the year. Khurrum Khan reports.
