Turkish Ambassadors Gather in Ankara to Discuss Foreign Policy
Just weeks after the Ukraine grain deal collapsed, Turkiye has hosted the 14th edition of the Ambassadors Conference. With its own brand of diplomacy, Ankara continues to play a mediating role for greater stability in the region, as it promises to counter the unrepresentative nature of the global system. Top diplomats gathered in the capital Ankara to discuss global trends, as well as recent challenges and opportunities. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said reducing conflicts in the world remains at the heart of Turkiye's mission, and ties with neighbours are bound to improve by adopting a positive and consistent agenda. But in a world suffering from food and energy shortages with no solutions in sight, challenges still persist, and there are growing calls for a new international order. So, can diplomacy alone help steer the world in the right direction, and is Turkiye up to the task? Guests: Federico Donelli Assistant Professor at University of Trieste Ahmet Keser Associate Professor at Hasan Kalyoncu University
