Asian stocks slump
Stocks in Asia slumped across the board as investors digest trade data from China. China's November trade numbers surprised expectations, with exports climbing 0.5 percent, UP from a 6.4 percent fall in October, It was the first increase in exports since April, amid signs of improvement in global trade flows. Meanwhile, imports fell 0.6-percent year on year. The world's second-largest economy's trade balance widened to 68.4 billion dollars over the month. Overnight in the US, all three major indexes retreated as traders assessed data indicating falling inflation while awaiting the monthly jobs report.
