Iran hoping for high turnout for Friday's election
Iranians will vote in a general election on Friday to select MPs and members of the clerical body that appoints the next leader. The government is calling for a high turnout to counter a trend of apathy and boost the state's legitimacy one year after nationwide protests sparked by the death of a young woman in police custody.
