US increases tariffs on $18B in Chinese imports
Just to increase the tension between the two countries, President Joe Biden has announced an increase in tariffs on Chinese imports. The aim is to prioritise US production and restrict Beijing's development of critical technologies. The government says it's bringing in the taxes on imports and exports in the interest of national security. So how will these extra charges impact the US economy? Daniel Padwick has more.
