Far-Right or Alright? 28 Year Old Jordan Bardella - France's Next President?
Jordan Bardella is young, popular and described as far-right. He leads the National Rally party with his mentor Marine Le Pen, and they’ve just scored a massive victory in the European Elections. President Emmanuel Macron was so shocked he immediately called a snap election. If National Rally perform well in that vote, Bardella could become the first far-right French Prime Minister in modern times. This week Nexus asks French history professor Paul Smith, Nabila Ramdani, the author of ‘Fixing France’ and Philippe Marliere, a professor of French politics, whether the far-right are finally about to take power.
