Anthony Graves: From death row to exoneration | The InnerView

Anthony Graves spent 18 years behind bars, twelve of them on death row, for a crime he did not commit. Graves was twice given an execution date during his time incarcerated, after he was wrongfully convicted for the murders of six people in Somerville, Texas in 1992. His conviction was eventually overturned due to prosecutorial misconduct and a lack of evidence. Graves is now a prominent advocate for criminal justice reform. He says that the US criminal justice system is fundamentally broken, preying on the vulnerable and prioritizing convictions over true justice.
