On September 15, 2020, the United States brokered the Abraham Accords, a treaty aimed at fostering peace and normalisation between Israel and Arab countries. Israel’s occupation of Gaza has shown that the agreement has failed to achieve peace in the region but trade between the participating countries has increased.
