Singapore's former transport minister jailed for 12 months
Singapore court has sentenced former transport minister Subramaniam Iswaran to 12 months in prison on grounds of corruption and obstruction of justice. Iswaran pleaded guilty to all five charges levelled against him. The city-state is renowned for its clean governance and this is the first jailing of an ex-cabinet member over corruption charges. Adam Hancock reports.
