US President Donald Trump has appointed former US Attorney General Pam Bondi to a White House advisory committee focused on artificial intelligence, Axios reported.
According to the report, Bondi will be charged with facilitating coordination between the government and tech titans.
The report added that she will also serve a new advisory role on national infrastructure.
The panel is chaired by former White House adviser David Sacks and White House science adviser Michael Kratsios, the report said.
In early April, US President Donald Trump fired Bondi as Attorney General, in a move that came after backlash and criticism of her handling of disgraced sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's files.
At the time, Trump said Bondi "will be transitioning to a much-needed and important new job in the private sector."
Trump has established a key advisory panel on artificial intelligence within the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, aimed at guiding efforts to maintain US leadership in global AI development.
The panel will also focus on the opportunities and challenges that emerging technologies present for the workforce.
