Israeli forces have shelled several areas of southern Lebanon and carried out ground incursions with tanks and bulldozers, while demolishing homes and infrastructure, Lebanese state media reported.
The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) said Israeli forces destroyed homes and infrastructure in the eastern and Fourth neighbourhoods of the Al-Musha area between Mansouri and Majdal Zoun, using barrels containing highly destructive explosives.
In Nabatieh district, Israeli warplanes carried out two air strikes on the Harj Ali Taher area, according to NNA.
Earlier, Israeli artillery targeted Mansouri as a Merkava tank and a D9 bulldozer advanced into the town.
Israeli military vehicles were also reportedly seen transporting booby-trapped containers towards the area.
Residents prevented from leaving
In a separate incursion, Israeli forces advanced into Halta Farm in the Hasbaya district of Nabatieh Governorate, surrounded several homes and prevented some residents from leaving, NNA reported.
An Israeli drone also dropped two sound bombs along the Azziyeh-Mansouri road.
Earlier on Thursday, Israeli forces carried out explosions in Hadatha and Wadi Baraachit, while drones flew over the Tyre area at dawn.
The latest developments come amid continued tensions along the Lebanon-Israel border despite diplomatic efforts and US-led contacts between Beirut and Tel Aviv aimed at establishing security arrangements.
According to Lebanese authorities, Israel's assault on Lebanon since March 2 has killed more than 4,000 people, injured over 12,000 and displaced more than 1 million.
Israel continues to occupy areas of southern Lebanon, including territory held for decades and areas seized during its 2023-2024 assault, while expanding its presence inside Lebanese territory during the current offensive.
