Israeli forces imposed a curfew on Palestinians in Shuafat refugee camp and nearby Anata, north of occupied East Jerusalem, on Monday as troops, military vehicles and bulldozers carried out a raid in the two areas.
The Jerusalem Governorate said the forces entered Shuafat and Anata amid a heavy military presence and announced the curfew over loudspeakers.
Israeli forces later described the operation as “focused,” saying it was aimed at what it called “terrorist activity” and related infrastructure, without providing evidence.

Raids and illegal settler attacks across occupied West Bank
The offensive came as illegal Israeli settlers carried out attacks and expanded activity in several parts of the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian official news agency WAFA, Voice of Palestine radio and local eyewitnesses.
In Burqa, east of Ramallah, illegal settlers entered the village and moved through its streets. Others reportedly erected a tent on Mount Al-Qarana near Deir Abu Mashal, northwest of Ramallah.
Near Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, illegal settlers were seen moving timber towards illegal settlement outposts, raising concerns among Palestinians over further expansion onto their land.
In Hebron, a Palestinian woman’s vehicle was attacked and its windows smashed, Voice of Palestine reported.
South of Yatta, settlers re-established an illegal outpost in Wadi al Rakhim just hours after Israeli forces had dismantled it, local activist Osama Makhamra told Anadolu.
Israeli forces also raided Khirbet Imneizil southeast of Yatta, entering a Palestinian home and damaging property inside.

Palestinian land cleared in Salfit
In the northern occupied West Bank’s Salfit governorate, Israeli forces and illegal settlers continued clearing Palestinian land northwest of Deir Ballut for an 11th consecutive day, according to WAFA.
The latest incidents add to a broader pattern of illegal settler violence and land seizures across the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission said 3,488 illegal settler attacks were recorded across the occupied territory during the first half of 2026.
