Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman has declared that the Kingdom remains fully committed to guaranteeing uninterrupted global energy supplies under all circumstances, asserting that Saudi Arabia will consistently overcome adversity.

"The Kingdom has demonstrated its ability to ensure the reliability of energy supplies, continue investing, and remain prepared to face various circumstances and challenges," Prince Abdulaziz stated during the opening of the 17th International Energy Forum Ministerial Meeting (IEF17) in Riyadh.

"No one can break our resolve. We are like a phoenix, rising from the ashes every time, again and again... Therefore, I am pleased to share with you my conviction that this country, and this city of Riyadh, is the capital of energy security."

Infrastructure resilience

Prince Abdulaziz highlighted the strategic East-West Pipeline as a critical example of the Kingdom's operational resilience, providing an alternative maritime export corridor to global markets through Yanbu on the Red Sea.

On October 6, the minister confirmed that the pipeline was pumping 5.8 million barrels per day, marking its first disclosed operating capacity since being temporarily halted by attacks weeks earlier.

Stressing multilateral stability, Prince Abdulaziz warned that "ensuring energy security is a shared responsibility that no single country can fulfil alone," noting that Riyadh is advancing a comprehensive energy strategy spanning hydrocarbons, renewables, nuclear, and geothermal power.
