Israeli artillery shelling targeted several areas in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, including the towns of Mansouri and Majdal Zoun in the western sector, Lebanon’s state news agency NNA reported.
Intense shelling hit the two towns, while Israeli forces directed machine-gun fire towards Beit al Sayyad, the agency said.
Artillery fire also targeted the outskirts of Haddatha and Baraachit, as well as the Al Araish area between Haris and Haddatha in the Bint Jbeil district.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israeli artillery struck the outskirts of Shaqra and Wadi al Salouqi.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage caused by the attacks.
Lebanon and Israel have been engaged in US-led negotiations since March to address security arrangements along their shared border and seek an end to Israeli occupation and attacks on Lebanese territory.
