Three crew members have been killed after Yemen's Houthi group attacked a commercial vessel in the Bab al Mandeb Strait, a government-affiliated broadcaster reported on Tuesday.
Al-Jumhuriya TV said preliminary information indicated that two Pakistani nationals and one Indonesian were among those killed.
The broadcaster did not identify the vessel or its owner.
There was no immediate comment from the Houthis on the reported attack.
The Bab al Mandeb Strait is a key maritime gateway to the Red Sea, located on the opposite side of the Arabian Peninsula from the Strait of Hormuz.
On Sunday, at least seven civilians and military personnel were killed and around 35 others wounded in a Houthi attack targeting a port near the Bab al Mandeb Strait and nearby residential areas, according to official Yemeni sources.
Fighting has intensified intermittently along several fronts in Yemen since last month, leaving dozens of people dead and wounded on both sides.
Yemen had experienced a relative lull since April 2022, following years of war between government forces, backed by a Saudi-led coalition, and the Iran-backed Houthis, who seized control of the capital Sanaa and large parts of the country in 2014.
