Iran has declared the total closure of the Strait of Hormuz following the US strikes targeting the country's south and intensified fire exchange on June 10 and 11.

Iranian officials have announced the closure to all maritime traffic, including commercial vessels and oil tankers, until further notice.

Tehran warns that any vessel attempting to transit the waterway will be considered a target.
