Russian guided bomb strikes on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv killed five people on Monday, the region's governor said.
Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, lies close to the Russian border and has come under regular shelling and drone attacks since the Russia-Ukraine conflict in February 2022.
At least three guided aerial bombs were involved in Monday's attacks, hitting a high-rise residential building and an industrial area, governor Oleh Syniehubov said on Telegram.
He shared images showing smoke rising from a large building, its roof partially collapsed.
"The death toll from the Russian guided aerial bomb attack on Kharkiv has risen to five. Thirty wounded are in hospitals, three of whom are in critical condition," Syniehubov said.
Moscow denies targeting civilian infrastructure.
Russian attacks on key infrastructure in Kiev, including bridges, have brought traffic in the capital to a standstill in recent days.
