A Palestinian was killed, and two others were injured in an attack by Israeli forces in northern Gaza on Wednesday, medical sources told Anadolu.

The incident comes amid continued Israeli violations of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza that has been in effect since October 10 2025.

Medical sources said the Palestinian was killed and two brothers were wounded as a result of an Israeli attack on Old Gaza Street, east of Jabalia, in northern Gaza. The nature of the attack was not immediately clear.

In a related development, eastern neighbourhoods of Gaza City came under artillery shelling and heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles positioned along the edge of the enclave, local sources said.

Witnesses also said Israeli vehicles opened heavy fire towards areas east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

On April 14, Gaza’s Government Media Office said in a statement that Israel had committed 2,400 violations of the ceasefire agreement, including killings, arrests, blockade measures and starvation.

The ongoing violations have killed 784 Palestinians and wounded 2,214 others, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

The truce agreement was reached after two years of a genocidal war launched by Israel in October 2023. The war killed more than 72,000 Palestinians, wounded over 172,000 others, and caused widespread destruction affecting 90 percent of the infrastructure in the enclave.
