Six Palestinians have been wounded when the Israeli army fired tear gas during a raid on the Al-Faraa refugee camp south of Tubas in the northern occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
The society said emergency medical teams treated all six victims for tear gas inhalation at the scene.
The raid came amid a wave of fresh Israeli raids across the occupied West Bank.
Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh and deployed across several neighbourhoods, the official Voice of Palestine radio reported, with no arrests or home searches confirmed.
In Al-Mughayyir, north-east of Ramallah, Israeli troops fired tear gas canisters towards Palestinian residential homes during a village raid, with no casualties reported.
In Hebron's Old City, Israeli soldiers assaulted journalists and obstructed their coverage as illegal Israeli settlers entered the area under military protection, according to the broadcaster.
Witnesses told Anadolu agency that a group of illegal settlers, escorted by Israeli troops, entered the Old City and advanced towards the Bab al-Baladiyeh area.
Israeli forces also enforced movement restrictions on Palestinian residents and shopkeepers, blocking them from passing through the area, witnesses noted.
Israeli forces conduct military raids across the occupied West Bank on an almost daily basis, frequently involving gunfire, home raids, and detentions.
Since the start of Israel's genocide in Gaza in October 2023, the Israeli military and illegal settlers have intensified attacks throughout the occupied West Bank, alongside expanding illegal settlements and enforcing severe restrictions on Palestinian freedom of movement.
