Israeli occupation forces said on Wednesday that interceptors were launched at a suspected aerial target that apparently crossed from Lebanese territory into northern Israel.
Israeli forces say overnight sirens in the northern border town of Kfar Yuval were triggered by the interceptors launched.
In a statement on X, the army said that alerts had been activated in several areas of northern Israel because of the infiltration of a hostile aircraft.
It said the results of the interception attempts were being assessed and that there were no reports of injuries.
It added that alerts for rocket and missile fire were activated following the interception attempts.
Israel has continued its attacks on Lebanon since launching a new offensive on March 2, during which its forces advanced further into southern Lebanon.
On June 26, Lebanon and Israel reached a US-mediated framework agreement providing for a gradual Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territory in exchange for the deployment of the Lebanese army and disarmament of armed groups, including Hezbollah.
The two sides have since held US-sponsored negotiations on implementing the framework, including arrangements for the Israeli withdrawal and Lebanese army deployment.
Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon have continued despite the negotiations.
