Halloween celebrations around the world
Halloween is more than running around in a costume screaming trick or treat. It's one of the oldest holidays in which people of all ages dress up and express their views.

In China, food and water are placed in front of dead family photos who have departed while lanterns are lit to light the paths of the spirits as they travel the earth on Halloween night, but they also have festive parades. Beijing, China. October, 31.
About 2,000 years ago it is believed that Halloween originated in Ireland and spread with the flow of immigrants.
People would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off roaming ghosts.
Eventually Halloween grew to be a community based event, with child friendly activities such as trick-or-treating and dressing up as various fictional characters, ghosts, goblins or celebrities.
