Several major airlines have suspended flights to Beirut for two days on Tuesday as tensions escalated between Israel and Hezbollah after Tel Aviv's deadliest bombardment of Lebanon.

Here is the list of suspended flights:

Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways said it had suspended flights to Beirut until Wednesday, emphasising that passenger safety is its highest priority.

"Due to the ongoing situation in Lebanon, Qatar Airways has temporarily suspended flights to and from Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport until September 25," the Qatari national carrier said in a statement.

Flydubai

Budget carrier Flydubai has cancelled its flights to Beirut on September 24 and 25 due to ongoing developments in the region.

A Flydubai spokesperson stated, "Passengers with existing bookings will be contacted regarding their rebooking or refund options." Travelers are advised to reach out to the airline's call center or their agents for further arrangements.

Etihad Airway

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways also cancelled its services to and from Beirut on Tuesday, September 24.

Etihad Airways, in a statement, said: “Etihad Airways is currently operating its normal flight schedule to and from Beirut. We monitor all global security situations minute by minute. Safety is always our highest priority and we would never operate a flight unless it was safe to do so."

Air France

French flag carrier Air France on Tuesday announced it was extending a suspension of flights to and from Beirut to October 1.

An Air France spokesman said in a statement to AFP that flights to the Lebanese capital were suspended due to the "security situation".

Flights to and from the Israeli city of Tel Aviv, which Air France had suspended last week, were operating "normally" after resuming at the weekend, the spokesman added.

Lufthansa

German group Lufthansa said flights to Tel Aviv and Tehran will now be cancelled until September 24 due to "the current situation." Flights to Beirut will be suspended until October 26, it said in a statement.

Royal Jordanian

Jordan's Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission announced it had suspended flights operated by Jordanian carriers to Beirut until further notice.

The suspension of flights operated by Jordanian airlines to Beirut will likely result in the cancellation of Royal Jordanian and other Jordanian-operated flights from Queen Alia International Airport, serving Amman, to Beirut until the incidence of cross-border fire between Israel and the Hezbollah declines.

Delta Airlines of US

The US airline joins a host of other airlines that have cancelled or suspended flights in recent days to cities in the region including Beirut and Tehran, as fighting between Israel and Hezbollah has intensified along Israel's northern border with Lebanon.

"Delta flights between New York-JFK and Tel Aviv will be paused through December 31, due to ongoing conflict in the region," the airline said in a statement.

Air India

India’s flag carrier, Air India, has also cancelled all scheduled flights to and from Tel Aviv until further notice.
