Amount of e-waste that end up in garbage has increased dramatically
Most of the e-waste produced by developed countries ends up in sub-Saharan African nations, or in poor Asian and Latin American countries, which are themselves struggling to manage their own e-waste.
New research suggests the amount of electronics that end up in the garbage around the world has increased significantly.
In east and southeast Asia alone, it has grown by two-thirds between 2010 and 2015.
