Turkey to launch offensive against PKK in Iraq
The Turkish government says its military is set to launch a ground offensive against the PKK terrorist organisation in Iraq. Ankara says a full-fledged operation could start at any time.

The Turkish government says its counterterrorism operations have significantly reduced the threat against Turkey.
The PKK terrorist organisation operates some of mountains in northern Iraq along the border with Iran have been on Turkey's radar for some time.
Turkey has been carrying out air strikes periodically in northern Iraq and the government says it's time to do more.
Turkish ground forces in Iraq are advancing towards PKK headquarters in the Qandil Mountains.
