Russian strikes have killed five rescue workers and wounded at least five others in the northeast Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, Interior Minister Igor Klymenko said.
"In Kharkiv, five State Emergency Service rescuers were killed during firefighting operations as a result of a repeated Russian strike. At least 5 more were wounded," Klymenko wrote on Telegram.
Three people were killed and another three injured in Russia's city of Tula in a drone attack, the governor says.
Kiev cathedral catches fire
The Dormition Cathedral in the famed Orthodox complex of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra was on fire after Russian strikes, the city's mayor Vitali Klitschko said on Monday.
"A fire has broken out on the grounds of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. The roof of the Dormition Cathedral is on fire," he wrote on Telegram, as several major Ukrainian cities, including Kiev, were under attack.
Meanwhile, a Ukrainian drone strike killed three people and wounded three others in the Russian city of Tula, around 200 kilometres (120 miles) south of Moscow, the regional governor said on Monday.
"Tonight, the residential sector of Tula urban district came under UAV attack," Dmitry Milyaev said on Telegram.
"Regrettably, according to initial information, three people were killed. Three more, including a one-year-old child, were wounded," he said.
