Yemeni authorities said on Tuesday that senior Daesh terrorist organisation figure Abu Hudhayfah al-Ansari had been killed in a joint operation with the Saudi-led coalition, according to the government-run Saba television.
A statement by Yemen’s Central State Security Service reported Ansari’s death, without specifying the location of the operation or providing further details.
The statement said special forces from the Saudi-led coalition carried out the operation with support from the 22nd Brigade of Yemen’s counterterrorism forces.
