Turkish defence firm Baykar announced that 30 personnel from the Royal Saudi Arabian Naval Forces had graduated after completing training at the company's facility in northwestern Türkiye.
The group comprised 15 pilots and 15 mechanical and electronic technician trainees who completed their programmes at Baykar's Corlu Flight Training and Test Centre, the company said on Friday.
In 2023, Baykar and Saudi Arabia's Defence Ministry signed an export and cooperation agreement for the Bayraktar AKINCI unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV).
Under the agreement, Bayraktar AKINCI UCAVs are to be added to the inventory of the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces.
Baykar is also to provide training, technical support and logistics services as part of the cooperation.
