Turkish scientists witness effects of climate change in Antarctica
Ice covers almost all of Antarctica. In some places, it's four kilometres thick. But that's changing as temperatures climb, and it could have drastic consequences for the planet as a whole.

There are growing fears among scientists that continued warming could harm the delicate balance of the Antarctic ecosystem.
Scientists from Turkey's largest polar expedition have been researching the effects of climate change on Antarctica.
Warming temperatures have meant glaciers have receded and ice shelves have collapsed.
TRT World's Alican Ayanlar was on the expedition to find out how the region is changing.
