Illegal Israeli settlers have erected tents for a new illegal settlement outpost north-west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, Palestine's official news agency Wafa reported.
Settler groups set up tents in the Wadi Zeytun area south of Umm Safa village to seize Palestinian land.
If established, it will raise the number of outposts surrounding Umm Safa to six.
Another outpost was established in the village of Burqa near Ramallah.
Across the occupied West Bank, illegal settlers have established 200 outposts during the 1,000 days since Israel launched its genocide in Gaza in October 2023, according to the Palestinian Colonisation and Wall Resistance Commission.
About 750,000 illegal Israeli settlers live in 156 settlements and 360 illegal outposts in the occupied West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem, which the UN considers illegal under international law.
Qusra siege
The expansion coincided with an ongoing eight-day siege on three Palestinian families in Qusra, south of Nablus.
Qusra Mayor Abdul Azim Wadi said the Israeli army has turned a residential home on Ras al-Ain mountain into a military barracks, creating constant danger and harassment alongside settler attacks.
In Ramallah district, Israeli troops raided Al-Mughayyir, fired toxic tear gas at homes, causing suffocation cases, and set up military checkpoints.
Troops also raided Beit Liqya, delivering stop-work and demolition notices to several homeowners.
North of Jerusalem, hundreds of Palestinians remained trapped in vehicle queues for hours due to tightened inspections at the Jaba military checkpoint.
In southern Hebron, Israeli forces accompanied by settlers raided Wadi Ajheish, detaining five Palestinians, including four from one family, while confiscating their vehicle and work tools.
In Masafer Yatta, authorities issued demolition orders for residential caves in Khallet al-Dabaa, while settlers drove livestock into residential areas in Wadi al-Rakhim and forced farmers off lands in Huwara.
A Palestinian doctor was also injured in an attack by Israeli occupiers east of Bethlehem.
The Jerusalem Governorate said around 10 illegal settlers attacked Dr Majid Aliyan Dweikat, from the village of Sur Bahir in Jerusalem, in the Janata area, beating him with stones and sticks, breaking his hand and smashing the windows of his vehicle.
Elsewhere, Israeli occupiers attacked Palestinian vehicles on the road linking Ramallah with Nablus, although no injuries were reported, according to Wafa.
West of Nablus, occupiers attacked a house on the outskirts of Beit Imrin and detained several Palestinians.
Reports said people were injured in the area, while Israeli forces prevented ambulances from reaching the scene.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society said Israeli forces were obstructing its crews from operating in Beit Imrin.
The UN reported documenting over 1,430 settler attacks targeting 260 Palestinian communities since early 2026.
Illegal settler violence and state demolitions have forcibly displaced approximately 3,800 Palestinians, nearly half of them children.
